Andrew (Khoa) Nguyen, DDS

My name is Dr. Khoa (Andrew) Nguyen and I am from Houston, TX. I have been living in the Bay Area for almost 10 years but I am still learning more about it everyday! 

When away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife Michelle, our two children Ethan and Chloe, and our two Corgis, Dragon and Kona. I love being involved in their lives and take great pride in trying to be the best role model and leader for them that I can be. In my free time, I enjoy reading about philosophy, development, consciousness, and other interesting topics. I love to explore the mind and ideas. My favorite question is WHY? I also enjoy journaling, introspection, and engaging in deep, thought-provoking conversations that promote exploration and learning. I’d love to talk to you anytime!

In my practice, my goal is to provide dentistry that best suits your individual needs. I take the time needed to build connections and relationships. I want to learn about your wishes, goals, and desired outcomes so that I can find how I am best able to help you. 

I seek not only to perform dentistry, but to help you on the whole. I believe that your teeth, oral health, mind and body are all connected and that everything should be in alignment. 

On your first visit with me, I will start by conducting an assessment of your teeth and gums. I will then share my findings along with any necessary photos or X-rays to help educate you. Together, we will devise a plan of action specific for you. Treatment is always provided in a comfortable and relaxed manner. I look forward to the opportunity to be a part of your life!

Michelle Nguyen, DDS

General Dentist in Sunnyvale

When Andrew and I first met in Detroit, he asked me, "Why do you want to be a dentist?" My answer was quick: "I love helping people." I am excited to have our office in Sunnyvale - where patients come first and we can truly care for them as we would our friends and family.

I was born and raised in San Jose. While receiving my B.S. in Biochemistry/Cell Biology from UC San Diego, I found my passion for serving the community through the UC San Diego Student-Run Free Dental Clinics. After earning my D.D.S. from the University of Detroit Mercy, I returned to the Bay Area, where I advanced my skills through residency training in downtown San Jose. Throughout, I have continued to serve my patients and give back by working part-time in a community clinic. I am excited to be in Sunnyvale and love having the ability to change my patients' lives by changing their minds about the dentist and transforming their smiles.

I enjoy soaking up the California sun with my friends and family, Andrew, and our two corgis. I also spend my time eating (or thinking of food), baking, and working out (in particular yoga and spinning!). Ask me about my favorite places to eat or grab boba!
